Athens Tourist Guide

The Sunshine Express

If you have heard of the famous Orient Express then it may have crossed your mind that the Sunshine Express is a train too. Of course there isn't the slightest connection between the two trains since Sunshine Express is a small tourist train that offers regular scheduled tours around the historical center of Athens. It gives visitors the unique opportunity to tour through the most important ancient sites and monuments of the Athens center in one single trip.

The train departs on its scheduled tours every hour approximately, between 11:30-14:30 and 17:00-24:00 on weekdays from April 1 to September 30. On weekends all year round-every hour between 11:00-24:00. The starting point is in Aiolou street at Plateia Agoras or Agora square. The duration of each trip is around 35 minutes. The adult fare is 5 euros while children under 10 years of age and students are charged 3 euros.
