Participants in this tour will have an afternoon and a morning free in order to see Mycenae, the Homeric city of Atreides, the city "rich in gold" of the ancient poets. The Lion's Gate, the Cyclopean Walls and the Royal Tombs will leave you speechless. Afterwards, you will have the chance to see more of the picturesque town of Nauplion that the Venetians called "Naples of Greece". The town nestles at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress. After this splendid visit, the Ancient Theatre of Epidauros, famous for its astonishing acoustics, will fulfill your tour.
Day 1: Corinth Canal – Mycenae (visit and lunch) – Nauplion, afternoon free. Overnight.
Day 2: Nauplion – Epidaurus (visit) – return to Athens.
